For working software developers

Turn the work you already do into a YouTube channel.

Tell DevChannel what you build and who you want to help. In about 30 seconds you get a niche, your first three videos with titles, thumbnails and opening hooks, ten more ideas grouped into series, and a 30-day schedule. Free. No sign-up, no email.

1 Who do you want to help? required
2 What do you want the channel to get you? required

How do you want to show up?

How it works

  1. You answer two questions. Who you want to help and what you want from the channel. Add your stack and a recent win if you want a sharper plan.
  2. DevChannel applies a set of rules for developer channels. Niche down hard. Every video solves one problem you can demonstrate on screen. Decide the title and thumbnail before you record. Show the evidence in the first 15 seconds. Build series, not random topics. No clickbait and no earnings claims.
  3. A language model writes the plan, then DevChannel checks it. The output is validated against those rules (title length, no hype words, three linked first videos, ten ideas, a schedule) and regenerated if it fails.

About

DevChannel is built by John Sonmez, founder of Simple Programmer and author of Soft Skills: The Software Developer's Life Manual and The Complete Software Developer's Career Guide. The planning rules come from what he has taught developers about building a personal brand and a YouTube channel for more than a decade.

The same plan engine powers the free channel plan in the Rockstar Developer University YouTube program. DevChannel is where it lives as a standalone product.
